Also the families of those who have died.

St. Thomas a Becket Flower Festival 2021 Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th September

This will be a celebration of Harvest and thankfulness for all things around us, with beautiful arrangements from many of our village’s clubs, societies, churches & school.

The church will be open on both afternoons for visitors, from 2 pm to 4 pm, with tea and cakes being served. A special Harvest Service will take place on the Sunday morning, at 10.30 am, to which all are welcome.

We would very much welcome offers of cakes for this, as well as help with teas in the afternoons of the Saturday and Sunday of the Flower Festival itself. It would really help to have someone who would kindly co-ordinate helpers and cakes.

Harvest family service - Sunday 19th September

Our harvest family service will be Sunday 19th September. As usual we will be collecting for for the Community of the Sisters of the Church in Bristol. Please bring in store cupboard food which has a long best before date to help support some of the poorest people in the diocese. Please see their appeal information below.

The Community of the Sisters of the Church Harvest Appeal

“Be Prepared” Our new motto! Having survived the various lockdowns due to Covid-19, organising things much more in advance has proved invaluable. With this in mind, please can we continue to count on your generous support for our Harvest Appeal this year?

Items we will need are the usual: Tins: meat, fish, vegetables, soups, baked beans, spaghetti hoops, custard, rice pudding, and fruit. Ambient: rice, pasta, tea bags, cereals, coffee, biscuits, and UHT milk. The Extras that our customers love: pot noodles, crisps, snack bars. Toiletries: ALL toiletries, sets or individual, are welcome and are given out.

Over the past 18 months we have been overwhelmed by those who have continued to support our Ministry, and I want to take the opportunity to say a big Thank You!

Teresa Mary CSC (Sister in Charge)

Please don't enter the building if you have symptoms of COVID-19.

Please sanitise your hands when you come into the building.

Please keep households 2m apart where possible

When singing remember it is safer for you to be side by side to people with a longer distance to the people in front.

Please sit in an allocated seating place.

Feel free to wear a face covering if you would like.

The area in the Hazelbury Chapel will be a 'lower-risk' zone, please wear a face covering if you sit in that area. This is to provide an area for those who are vulnerable or wish to exercise more caution.

Communion will continue to be received in one kind and placed in dishes by the president.
