Lord of creation,

whose glory is around and within us:

open our eyes to your wonders,

and know your peace at our lives’ end,

We remember those whom we know,

who are suffering in sickness or adversity,

and those who especially need our prayers at this time.

Also the families and friends of those who have died.

Lay-led Service/Morning Worship Sunday 2nd October

This Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, so the morning service will be lay-led. This month it will be led by Jamie Hay, whose theme will be “Hope”.  We will be exploring the theme of Hope, what ‘hope’ means to us, and what or who we put our hope in.

Outside Autumn Clear Up 8th or 15th October

I would like to extend massive thanks to Charles, Tom and Bethan who came down on Saturday for the church yard tidy. Some excellent progress was made in between flu jabs and child-care.

Unfortunately I fear the falling leaves will continue over the next few weeks! Therefore, I would like to propose another date to just finish off the leaves/weeding/hedges if it would suit.  Not trying to pull people away from the internal church clean on the 15th of October, but perhaps some might be able to make it on either the 15th or the week before on Saturday the 8th of October.  Unfortunately I am away for both dates but I feel my job becomes more redundant each year as you seem to all know what you are doing! If you think either of the dates might work for you please get in touch. James 07763 906855.

Inside Autumn Focus 15th October

We are also planning to give the inside of the building attention too – on Saturday 15th October, starting at 10 am. List of Inside Fun is likely to include general tidying, as well as polishing silver and brass. Please could you let us know if you are able to assist in this – This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Accommodation Needed

Yanna, a young Ukrainian woman, and her daughter aged 8, are looking for accommodation from October/November, in the Box/ Corsham area. Yanna has a full-time job in Budgens and her daughter goes to school in Corsham. Unfortunately, the sponsors they have been living with can no longer sponsor them from the end of October, so they are looking for either a family willing to sponsor them, someone with a room they’re happy to rent, or a flat that has reasonable rent. Please call Paul Langley on 07836 617916 or Lee Towler on 01225 743706 if you can help. Many thanks.

Regulations around Public Worship Please don't enter the building if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and sanitise your hands when you enter.  The area in the Hazelbury Chapel will continue to be a 'lower-risk' zone during Sunday services where face coverings should be worn, this is to provide an area for those who are vulnerable or wish to exercise more caution. Communion will be distributed by the president by intinction.
