God our saviour,

in pity and in power;

hold us fast to your promises of peace

won for us by your Son,

our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Please pray for those who are ill

We remember those whom we know,

who are suffering in sickness or adversity,

and those who especially need our prayers at this time.

Also the families of those who have died

Summer Concert

Last Sunday’s Summer Concert, given by ‘The Find Your Voice Breakout Quintet’, was a great success. Many thanks are due to all who contributed to this delightful occasion, especially thecake makers: Brenda, Bethan, Denise, Judy, Alison, Claire, and Mike and Carole Williams, and the clearers– up (usually a thankless task!): Pam and Denise, plus Mike and Carole Williams.

Repairs and Maintenance at StTaB

Stonemasonry repairs by Chris Rendell from Corsham started on Tuesday 2nd July and will last about 3 weeks.  Roofing repairs are expected to start in the next week or two.

Quiet Waters (Valens Terrace) Home Group

This week (11th July) we will  continue our study of Romans - only 3 chapters to go! We meet from 7.30pm for coffee and cake, aiming to start at 8pm, and everyone is welcome. For more information, please contact Angela on 07835 812258 or Jamie on 07427 493422.

Colin Bick Memorial Service

There will be a short Memorial Service (so no coffin) for Colin Bick, on Thursday 11th July at 2.30pm. It would be lovely if some of our congregation could attend, to mark the life and passing of this very local man who lived alongside our church, in Springfield.

HEART - Sunday 14th July

4pm - 6pm

Heart 4 Rudloe meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month, between 4pm and 6pm, and everyone of any age is welcome (children must bring an adult to look after them). The afternoon includes craft, tea drinking and Lego building. This is followed by prayer, story and songs.  We round off the afternoon with some food (a light meal).

This activity is free, and is being run as part of the work of the Church of England in Box Parish.  Please do come along and join us as we make, pray and eat in the MOD Corsham Community  Centre on Leafy Lane.

The Filling Station on Tuesday 9th July at 7.30pm

This month we are having a Praise and Testimony evening. This gives people an opportunity to tell of what God has been doing in their lives and the lives of the people around them. Come - and be encouraged!

The Filling Station is an informal “café style” evening in the Box Methodist church building on Box High Street. Coffee and cakes are served from 7pm and the service starts with musical worship from 7.30pm, followed by testimonies and an opportunity for prayer, concluding at about 9.30pm

Grace on Wednesday 10th July

Grace is on Wednesday 10th July 3.30-5.30 pm at Box Methodist Church. We usually work to the following plan:

3.30  Play, treasure hunt and story

3.50  Crafts

4.20  Songs, talk and prayers

4.45   Food

If you might be able to come along and help, for all or even part of the session, please let Janet know. We would especially welcome Grannies (and Grandpas!) with experience of lovely grandchildren and talking to parents, to help with the craft tables.

The Community of the Sisters of the Church

James Symons is visiting the Sisters on Monday 8th July, so it would be good if he could take some donations of food (tins, packets, there’s a list of suggestions available) to support their work in Bristol.

The Audio Loop

Good news - the Audio Loop has been repaired!
