Risen Christ,

your wounds declare your love for the world and the wonder of your risen life:

give us compassion and courage

to risk ourselves for those we serve,

to the glory of God the Father.

Please pray for those who are ill

Helen West

We remember those whom we know,

who are suffering in sickness or adversity,

and those who especially need our prayers at this time.

Also the families of those who have died

Bacon Butties on Saturday 18th May!

Once again, TOAST is supplying the good people of Box with excellent Bacon Butties - this Saturday 18th - as their way of supporting Christian Aid. They’ll be stationed outside the Methodist Church from 9.30 to 11 am, and would appreciate your support—as would Christian Aid!

Help needed—from Bristol

Please would anyone be going to Bristol this coming week and be able to collect a parcel for us? If so, please email Janet at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Box Revels on Monday 27th May

This year and we will be serving Teas in the Pavilion, as well as staffing an Ecumenical prayer and activity tent. Lots of help, prayer and support needed, please!

We would particularly appreciate cakes for the Revels Teas - these can be homemade or shop bought - all would be gratefully received in the Pavilion on Revels day or can be collected earlier if necessary. Please contact Judy (01225 742308) or Brenda (01225 742800) if you can help.

Many hands make light work!

We are hoping to recruit more church cleaners who would like to contribute to keeping our beautiful church looking fresh, well cared-for and sweet-smelling! Cleaners only tackle the tasks they are comfortable with, and work in pairs (although this is not essential) at a time to suit themselves. There is a rota, with each person’s name appearing approximately nine times a year—that’s less than once every five weeks :) If you feel you could offer this valuable service to our church community, please contact Pam Farmer 01225 744171 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
