Collect

Merciful Father,

you gave your Son Jesus Christ to be the good shepherd,

and in his love for us to lay down his life and rise again:

keep us always under his protection,

and give us grace to follow in his steps.

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Please pray for those who are ill

We remember those whom we know,

who are suffering in sickness or adversity,

and those who especially need our prayers at this time.

Also the families of those who have died

Box Revels on Monday 27th May

This year and we will be serving Teas in the Pavilion, as well as staffing an Ecumenical prayer and activity tent. Lots of help, prayer and support needed, please!

We would particularly appreciate cakes for the Revels Teas - these can be homemade or shop bought - all would be gratefully received in the Pavilion on Revels day or can be collected earlier if necessary. Please contact Judy (01225 742308) or Brenda (01225 742800) if you can help.

Many hands make light work!

We are hoping to recruit more church cleaners who would like to contribute to keeping our beautiful church looking fresh, well cared-for and sweet-smelling! Cleaners only tackle the tasks they are comfortable with, and work in pairs (although this is not essential) at a time to suit themselves. There is a rota, with each person’s name appearing approximately nine times a year—that’s less than once every five weeks :) If you feel you could offer this valuable service to our church community, please contact Pam Farmer 01225 744171 or This email address is being protected from spambots. HEART - Sunday 12th May

4pm - 6pm

Heart 4 Rudloe meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month, between 4pm and 6pm, and everyone of any age is welcome (children must bring an adult to look after them). The afternoon includes craft, tea drinking and Lego building. This is followed by prayer, story and songs.  We round off the afternoon with some food (a light meal).

This activity is free, and is being run as part of the work of the Church of England in Box Parish.  Please do come along and join us as we make, pray and eat in the MOD Corsham Community  Centre on Leafy Lane.

The Filling Station on Tuesday 14th May

This month we are pleased to welcome Rev David Hull as our speaker. David is currently the Chaplain at Kingswood School, Bath, and has previously preached on the Yeovil and Blackmore Vale Methodist Circuit; prior to that, he was Head of Boarding at Kings College School, Cambridge. He will be speaking on “Pentecostal Glory” - uplifting and inspiring!

The Filling Station is an informal “café style” evening in the Box Methodist church building on Box High Street. Coffee and cakes are served from 7pm and the service starts with musical worship from 7.30pm, followed by David’s talk and an opportunity for prayer, concluding at about 9.30pm
