We remember those whom we know,

who are suffering in sickness or adversity,

and those who especially need our prayers at this time.

Also the families of those who have died

 Electoral Roll

Every six years we need to revise our entire electoral roll for the church. By law we need to wipe everyone off and start again. Forms (pale yellow!) are now available at the back of the church. If you wish to be on the Electoral Roll, please could you take and complete one, and return it to the Vicarage by 2nd April.

APCM—the Annual Parochial Church Meeting

This will be held 25th April 2019, 7 for 7.30 pm, held in St Thomas’. Please put this date in your diaries now!

Annual Maundy Thursday Pilgrimage walk

The annual Maundy Thursday pilgrimage will take place on Thursday 18 April starting at St Christopher’s at 10.00am.

The group will follow the usual pattern of visiting the four ancient sites of Christian worship around the civil parish of Box (including the site of the abandoned church at Hazlebury) and we will also visit the Box Methodist Church. The walk will finish at The Quarryman’s Arms for lunch.  Please contact Brian Nicholas (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) 810791 or Penny Newboult (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) 742549 if you would like to join the expedition. We need to inform the staff at The Quarryman’s of numbers.

HEART - Sunday 24th March

4pm - 6pm

Heart 4 Rudloe meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month, between 4pm and 6pm, and everyone of any age is welcome (children must bring an adult to look after them). The afternoon includes craft, tea drinking and Lego building. This is followed by prayer, story and songs.  We round off the afternoon with some food (a light meal).

This activity is free, and is being run as part of the work of the Church of England in Box Parish.  Please do come along and join us as we make, pray and eat in the MOD Corsham Community  Centre on Leafy Lane.

Easter Eggs!

The Community of the Sisters of the Church will be collecting Easter Eggs to distribute and would love contributions. James will be taking the eggs we donate to the Sisters in the week beginning 1st April, and obviously would like to take them as many as possible! Contributions can be left at the back of the church, where food donations are left.

Help would be appreciated.....

Your Church Wardens are planning to tackle a few spring time jobs in and around the church on Saturday 30 March from 1000.   We need to :

  • Clear some of the "stuff" which has accumulated in the room in the tower.
  • Sweep leaves from the valleys between the south aisle and nave roofs, and between the nave and north aisle.
  • Clear leaves and wood from the ditch on the south side (again) and from around the west end of the building.
  • Trim a few bushes in the churchyard in support of the grass cutting done by the council.

If anybody has a gap in their diary that day and can afford say 90 minutes to help, then that would be immensely appreciated.

Many thanks! Charles
