Box Burns Night Ceilidh – 26th January 2019

We are celebrating Burns Night in the Selwyn Hall on Saturday evening,  26th January 2019.

                        7.30-8.30pm   Dancing

                        8.30-9.30pm   Supper

                        9.30-10.45pm Dancing

A fabulous haggis supper and the usual mildly chaotic dancing are included in the ticket price, which is £18 for adults and £7 for children.  A vegetarian alternative can be arranged, but please advise of this and any other special dietary requirements when booking the tickets. There is a cash bar.

This is dancing for those with two left feet and no previous experience of ceilidhs. No Scottish blood or previous experience needed, but a sense of humour is vital!!

Tickets can be booked at the Vicarage office on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, 744458, or from Charles Freeman 744155. The adult tickets are £18 each and the child tickets £7 each.  Payment can be made directly, stating Burns Night and whom the payment is from to:

A/C Name:                 St Thomas a Becket Church

Sort Code:                 40-09-19

A/C No:                                  22311429

but if paying in this way please email Charles to say you have done so: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Alternatively, a cheque made out to St Thomas a Becket Church can be dropped off at Box Vicarage, as can cash.  In both cases, please state clearly Burns Night and whom the payment is from.

Heart 4 Rudloe this Sunday 13th January 2019

HELP with HEART in the New Year would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to help with the washing up, just once or twice a year even, we would love to hear from you.  An extra pair of hands would make a huge difference.  Please call Janet 744458 if you are able to help in this way.  Thank you.

Heart 4 Rudloe meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month, between 4pm and 6pm, and everyone of any age is welcome (children must bring an adult to look after them). The afternoon includes craft, tea drinking and Lego building. This is followed by prayer, story and songs.  We round off the afternoon with some food (a light meal).

This activity is free, and is being run as part of the work of the Church of England in Box Parish.  Please do come along and join us as we make, pray and eat in the MOD Corsham Community  Centre on Leafy Lane.

Prayer for Christian Unity

Please drop in to Box Methodist Church on Saturday 19th January 3-5pm to spend some minutes thinking and praying for our world. There’ll be music, readings and silence

The Craft Club is back in 2019

Everyone is very welcome to the Craft Club that meets in the Methodist Church once a month.  No need to be a member of either congregation - you can dip in and out according to interest. The next date for your diary is Thursday 17 January, from 10am-12, when our theme will be Needle Felting.
