Sister’s Christmas Appeal

Last year the Sisters were able to distribute 420 Christmas bags and they hope to do this same this year.

This year they particularly need gifts for adults:

Toiletry sets for men

Gloves for men and women

They also need:

Christmas food, boxes of chocolates, festive biscuits, tins of ham, meat or salmon, mince pies, Christmas puddings and jars of coffee.

(Please make sure all food items are in date for Christmas!)

£10 Argos vouchers for the children

If you are able to donate any of these items, please leave them in the box near the church door & noticeboards.

James will deliver any donated items on 10th December.

Mince Pies and Candles!

All contributions of mince pies will be gratefully received for the

Carol Service on 16th December - please bring to the kitchen area before the service.

Also, any help with lighting the candles in church from 5.40pm onwards would be much appreciated.  Names to Charles, please!

Giving to the Church through Legacies

Both StTaB and Chapel Plaister have benefited in recent years from a number of generous gifts given in Wills, not least a substantial bequest which helped us to achieve the "TeePee" work.  Amongst other advantages of giving this way, one has use of the money throughout your lifetime! Anybody writing a Will should of course consult a solicitor but a certain amount of guidance and information is produced by the Church of England, and a selection of relevant guides has been placed in StTaB.  Further information is available .
