Annual Church Meeting

This will be taking place on Wednesday 21st April 2010 at 7.30pm in St Thomas à Becket church. It is very important to put this date in your diary and make sure you attend to find out what the PCC are planning for the year ahead. If you are not on the Electoral Roll (see below) you will not be entitled to vote on any of the issues raised so please make sure you have registered on the roll and can then have your say!

Electoral Roll

The Electoral Roll for our parish church is shortly to be revised. You are reminded that only those whose names appear on the Electoral Roll are eligible for voting at the Annual Meeting and for membership of the Parochial Church Council.

If your name has not been included you may obtain application forms from the table at the entrance of the church. When completed they should be returned to Catherine Hewes, Netherby House, Hazelbury Hill, Box SN13 8LB) or left in the church in the pigeon hole for ‘H’.

In order that you may be included in the new list from April 2010 please ensure forms are returned by 12th March at the latest.

If you have previously been included on the list and wish to withdraw please let me know as soon as possible (or contact any of the church officers listed in the front of the magazine).

Thursday Night Live

During Lent, instead of housegroups, we are going to meet on a Thursday night from 8.15pm-9.00pm in the church for some songs, some readings, prayer and time to reflect. If you would like to help organise or be involved in one or more of these evenings please get in touch with Alice or Janet and come along to a planning meeting at the vicarage at 8pm on Sunday 7th February.

The Return of ‘The Box Files’

Instead of prayer and praise during Lent we are going to have two Lectures, one on Sunday 28th February at 6pm and one on Sunday 28th March at 6pm. Watch this space for more details...
